Hi, I’m Sally, centre owner and director of Kip McGrath Aldridge. I joined Kip McGrath in 2017 and am very proud of the centre and the team I have built over that time.
We have helped over 1000 families and forged close working relationships with several local schools. I pride myself on being professional, caring and approachable whilst running an effective and purposeful business.
My Story
After graduating with a 1st class degree in Commerce from the University of Birmingham in 2001, I began my career in the retail sector where my passion for customer service was born.
Having progressed to a store manager, I felt I was lacking a greater purpose so in 2005 I went back to University to complete a 2 year maths conversion course and PGCE.
I then taught for 9 years in Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield schools before deciding to make the break to tuition in 2016. I initially tutored from home before deciding to make a full time career and was attracted by the structured lesson plans, set-up and resources offered by Kip McGrath.
I genuinely love both aspects of my job; running the business as a manager and working in it as a maths tutor. My personal passion is the teaching and learning of maths. I really enjoy getting to know the students personally and having the time to listen and get to the bottom of what it is they are struggling to understand, or to simply build their confidence and help them believe in themselves.
I also enjoy getting to know our parents and to give them the feedback that’s not always possible in a school situation. It's great to able to help them support their children educationally.
Some of our families have been with us since we opened in 2017 and have become good friends as we’ve seen their children grow with us.
